The level of success of your interview can actually pull you up to a higher band. For example, if you are sitting on the cusp of a Band 5/6 for your practical and then you present an outstanding interview, it will take you up to a Band 6. My students begin learning interview skills from the beginning of the course for this reason. There is nothing worse then missing out on that Band 6 because you aren't strong or don't feel comfortable in your interview.
